HIGHER PLOT FARM.
A small farm and vineyard perched on the beautiful Somerset Levels.
About
There may have been dwellings at Higher Plot since Roman times but the main farmhouse was completed in 1763 with later additions including a barn that is now a separate holiday let in 1861. Up until 1997 it had no running water or electricity and it retains many of the original features of a classic Somerset Farm including the original bread oven and well. It is built from White Lias Limestone quarried from the land above the farm and is grade 2 listed. The farm is one mile west of the thriving town of Langport with it’s great cafes, reknowned pubs and river access. The land includes ancient orchard and extends to just over 9 acres.
